Progress and Goals – April 2025

Writing Updates and Goals

I’m a little late with this post, but better late than never!

Victory I’m Celebrating

Selah’s series is completely drafted! I finished Book Three right at the end of March, which I was (and still am) so excited about. I’d met my goal! Granted, I had to take two days off from my bill-paying job to make that self-imposed deadline, but I did it. And those two days were so nice, and not just for meeting my goals. Sometimes taking time to breathe is really valuable.

Challenges I Didn’t Quite Meet

What I didn’t get finished were the revisions for Book One. I did get some light work done, but I needed to finish Book Three to make sure I can layer all the world-building, plot-teasing content necessary into books One and Two.

So … April goals!

  • Finish Book One revisions and get it to my beta readers
  • Finalize the cover
  • Redo my website. I need to start teasing Selah and back burner “To Kill the King” a little longer. (Selah changed the midsection of that book. A lot.) I also want to explore making a section of goodies just for my newsletter subscribers (hint, hint), but that may have to be my stretch goal.

One response to “Progress and Goals – April 2025”

And here I am, less than a year later, getting ready to launch that last book! It just goes to show you how intense (and long) that revision phase can be! […]
