The Bones of Air

Mona of Syrrel is a girl who’s known plenty of hardship in her life. Her mother died when her brother was born, her home province has drifted closer and closer to outright war her entire life, and when she’s finally sent away to school for her own safety, she finds both the truest of friends and the darkest of violence as the Reckoning envelops them.

Mona never complained about the hardships she faced.

But that was before.

Before the Reckoning demanded her future.

Before she was kidnapped and sold into slavery far from home and everyone she loves.

And before the selfishness of a god-king forces Mona to accept that escape may cost her people she’s come to care about … and the person she thought she was.
