Progress on the Sundered Realms – February 2026 Recap

Writing Updates and Goals

So. I may have been a little overly ambitious with my February goals. Which isn’t to say I didn’t get a lot done (because I did), but there are also quite a few things I’m carrying into March.

Progress

  • “Making Stitches” is live in the world! This short fantasy story in the Sundered Realms introduces Mona of Syrrel: quiet, furious and determined to help her people survive the war at their doorstep.
  • The pre-order for “By the Weight of Blood,” book 3 of The Reckoning trilogy, is now live! Official book drops March 31. Whew!! Selah’s story isn’t an easy one, and she learns things about herself and her friends that will break her in ways she never imagined … but offer her a path to healing, as well. If character-driven dark epic fantasy is your thing … you might want to check it out.

March Goals – Writing, ARC Readers and Revising

  • ARC readers: One of the most valuable things in the indie publishing world is early reader feedback. If you’d like early access to “By the Weight of Blood” in exchange for an honest review at or around launch, I’d love to have you on the ARC team. Let me know by filling out the ARC reader portion of the Sundered Realms’ team form.
  • Read-through “Harbinger” (book 1 of the First Daughter’s saga) and get my revision checklist in place. I’m hoping I can tame my tendency to tweak endlessly with this book.
  • Keep reading! I didn’t get through my reading list last month, so Patrick Rothfuss’s “The Name of the Wind” and Kurt Vonnegut’s “Slaughterhouse 5” are still on my list.

Whew! March is looking like it’s going to be just as busy as February was, but that’s the way things go in the Sundered Realms – myths, monsters and magic rarely give you the space you need to catch a breath.

If you’d like to keep up with everything that’s happening in the Sundered Realms and get first dibs on new stories and insights, you can join my newsletter here.

And if you’ve been walking these adventures with me since the beginning, thank you. You’ve made the road better just by being here.

Read bravely.
